SC Bioflora Apuseni SRL is the result of a long-term Romanian-German collaboration and an extensive research process (conducted with Weleda and Freiburg University).
The company was founded in 2010 with the main aim of the sustainable use of medicinal plant resources (especially the species Arnica montana) in the oligotrophic meadows of the Apuseni Mountains (Romania).
Since 2010, the company’s activity has diversified greatly.
Bioflora Apuseni makes use of and markets medicinal plants both fresh and dry, from spontaneous flora and from their own crops.
The company carries out agricultural activities in two locations which include both the mountain profile (the Apuseni Mountains area – Ghețari village) and the lowland area (Sâncel locality) for the medicinal plant species characteristic of these areas.
